Harlow M. Oyler, 83, of Decatur passed away Monday July 26, 2010 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Graveside service will be 11:30 AM Friday July 30, 2010 at Point Pleasant Cemetery in Long Creek. Visitation will be Friday July 30, 2010 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Dawson & Wikoff West Wood St. Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to the family via email at www.dawson-wikoff.com

Mr. Oyler was born on March 16, 1927 in Christian County the son of Louis and Elsie Vaughn Oyler. He married Mary M. Edwards on July 30, 1948. Harlow worked for Mueller Company retiring in 1992. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and loved bowling.
Harlow is survived by his wife Mary; daughter Sheila Conaway of Harristown; grandchildren: Pamela Smith and husband Charles, Christina Navis and husband Donnie, Heather Conaway and fiancé Travis Boehm, Michael Conaway and fiancé Annie McGlade and Timothy Conaway; sixteen great grandchildren and best friend Jackie Kaufman and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son John Oyler, and son in law Mike Conaway, four brothers and two sisters.

Sorry to hear about Harlow. I remember one time I was visiting home. Dad, Mom and I came by the house. Dad was really wanting to visit Harlow. He really enjoyed the visit. May he rest in peace.

Mary and Family;
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this sad time. I do remember Harlow and how nice he was. Especially to a young girl who ran his car into the edge of the East William Street Bridge! Thought for sure he would wring my neck! But he was very kind.
I know he will be missed but memories of him will always keep him near. Know that you are in our prayers.
